Back in 2012, when SENLA was founded, its goal was to become a full-cycle developer whose commitment to technological excellence would not sideline humanity, honesty and harmony. Staying true to this objective for years, the company today operates as an enterprise software development company with more than 400 developers and offices in five European countries. “From the first day of the company, one of the main priorities was to treat employees not as resources but as team members, an integral part of the company. We believe there is a direct correlation between employees’ satisfaction and the quality of developed solutions,” mentions Igor Danilov, CEO and Founder, SENLA. In the beginning, he personally had to carry out the responsibilities of a business analyst, developer, and QA manager and developed major approaches, processes and rules from scratch. And remarkably, one of the first notable clients was a large banking system, aiming at offering protection of bank’s clients from fraud transactions.

Fast forward to today, and the company’s portfolio contains projects with at least ten of the Top-50 European banks, as well as leading financial service providers and a number of joint projects with top consulting companies. “We are proud of our collaboration with Alfa-Bank, BPC Banking Technologies, Bank of Africa, Tinkoff Bank, Vietnam International Bank, OAB - Oman Arab Bank, Redsys, Qiwi and others,” states Mr Danilov. SENLA has been extensively involved in developing fintech solutions for more than eight years, with around 70 percent of the completed projects currently relating to banking and fintech.

At its core, SENLA offers enterprise software development services to businesses that want to leverage the latest technological solutions and boost profits or scale. Being focused on the banking sector, SENLA believes that trends such as the competitive importance of UX, transparency, acceleration of digital payments and adjacency, and fintech regulations are shaping the industry today. But the bulk of the fintech industry’s developments and objectives are far from focusing on the user’s convenience and comfortable work. Having strong expertise in UI/UX, SENLA’s mission in the development process is to make its application not only technically perfect but also convenient to promote brand values and image.

We believe there is a direct correlation between employees’ satisfaction and the quality of developed solutions

This is comparable to the training of the bank frontmen so that they provide good service: smiling at the right moment, communicating with the client correctly. The application also traces a direct impact on the quality of service. “The feelings while using the bank application resemble direct interaction with frontmen. If the experience is positive then there is a higher conversion possibility and increased chance of repeated application usage,” adds Mr Danilov.

Further, one of the biggest challenges for staying competitive in the banking industry is to provide customers with personalised services. Businesses also struggle to enhance the user experience, ease authentication and use modern augmented technologies for faster services. SENLA has added features in its existing banking application as part of a new comprehensive service approach to serve private individuals. The solution provides a seamless interaction between a customer and a bank agent in order to increase the quality of services. With this solution, the customer can select a bank branch and sign up for a consultation remotely and receive a reminder of the visit. After choosing a service, both customer and bank agents get in-app push notifications for suitable actions. When customers come to the branch, they are automatically recognised by the 3rd-party face recognition system and placed in a virtual service queue. The new app section enables customer’s identification, the preliminary appointment of visits, targeted advertising of the bank’s products and services and queue management using a 3rd-party platform. As a result, the solution helps clients to attain desired outcomes. “It has optimised the operations of frontmen, increased the efficiency of client’s personnel, upgraded the personalisation level and customer satisfaction,” states Mr Danilov.

What separates SENLA is the streamlined process of approaching and working with the clients. The company also always helps a client to form exact needs and find and solve the problem of business, not just apply some technical solutions or a complex system. Further, along with mature services like R&D, UX/UI design, business analytics, SENLA uses best practices and industry standards properly while considering ongoing fintech trends.

Mr Danilov mentions that they combine the unique value proposition with technical expertise, business strategy, and vision of the company. By remaining true to its core values while working on its solutions, SENLA strives not only to concentrate on pinpointed problems and development processes but also to cooperate with the client on analysing the financial side of the project. “Following the core values of SENLA, we are ready to offer an extensive, often a lifetime, warranty for our turnkey solutions. That implies our acceptance of uncertainty and ability to tackle different challenges that frequently accompany development and implementation of fintech solutions,” concludes Mr Danilov.
